Historical Leaders
This course provides an in-depth exploration of principled leadership as an ethical foundation for governance from a historical perspective. Through a series of case studies profiling historical leaders in politics, government, business, non-governmental organizations, and social movements, we will consider questions of ethical leadership and governance, innovative forms of leadership, the tension between principles and power, and the role of leaders, followers and constituents within a variety of organizations.

Environmental Stewardship in the 21st Century
What do Greta Thunberg, Warangi Maathai and Aldo Leopold have in common? Get ready to find out as you transform yourself into a steward the earth needs right now!
In Environmental Stewardship in the 21st Century (GLE 3001G) you will learn how Greta, Warangi, Aldo and many more have become Earth Stewards extraordinaire. We will investigate the scientific and indigenous knowledge systems they worked under and go deep to explore the ethical and spiritual underpinnings that made these unique individuals who they are and illuminated their work. But more importantly we will forge paths for ourselves using tools that will help us transform into stewards this earth needs. We will discuss, debate, and reflectin the classroom and then connect, collaborate and contribute to our community. Get ready to be transformed!
