Assistant Professor, Chinese

Yan Lu, PhD
I teach Chinese literature and language with passion and academic rigor. I integrate comparative, cross-cultural perspectives into my teaching and provide stimulating intellectual space for a diverse body of students.

What attracts me most to Huron University is its personalized, supportive learning environment. In small-sized classes, I can tailor my teaching to individual needs of students from a wide variety of backgrounds and make myself available for one-on-one conversations. With caring support from the Huron community, students engage in experiential learning and conduct innovative research in their fields of interest. The personalized environment helps students achieve personal, intellectual, and professional growth on their journey to become “Leaders with Heart.”
