In 2012, I also became the Coordinator of the newly founded UVic Indigenous Law Research Unit where I’ve had the opportunity to help establish research projects in areas of specific Indigenous legal traditions, all in partnership with Indigenous communities across the country.
After finishing my degree at Huron I moved to Vancouver Island where I completed an MA in Political Science with an interdisciplinary concentration in Cultural, Social, and Political Thought at the University of Victoria (UVic). From 2009-2010 I was the Communications Coordinator at the Vancouver Island Public Interest Research Group and since 2010 I’ve been working in the Law Faculty at UVic as the Coordinator of the Consortium on Democratic Constitutionalism.
In 2012, I also became the Coordinator of the newly founded UVic Indigenous Law Research Unit where I’ve had the opportunity to help establish research projects in areas of specific Indigenous legal traditions, all in partnership with Indigenous communities across the country. I’ve also been involved with community social justice advocacy, including the Committee to End Homelessness Victoria and its documentary, Taking the Fall and Rising. In September 2015, I will be moving to Edmonton, Alberta to undertake a PhD in Political Science at the University of Alberta.
